Just like in real life, a kicker doesn't contribute a huge amount of points but can always be the difference between a fantasy victory and a fantasy loss.
Kickers rely on the quality of their team more than anyone in terms of fantasy. If the offense isn't good enough, they may never even get on the field during the four quarters.
Here are the week's best prospect at kicker:
Suisham is the Pittsburgh Steelers' kicker as they look to avenge the team's loss to Baltimore last week. Against Baltimore, the offense was horrible; however, the Seahawks offense is nowhere near the level of the Ravens'.
Suisham should have plenty of opportunities to kick extra points and field goals this week.
Kevin Kolb had a great day against the Carolina Panthers last week, Aaron Rodgers figures to destroy them this week. Crosby could have six or seven points on extra points alone.
Any added field goals will just be luxuries.
The New York Jets defense should be able to shut down the Jaguars offense for the most part. However, Maurice Jones-Drew will at least be able to put them in position a few times like he did last week against the Titans.
Scobee has a huge leg and should have a few opportunities to show off in Week 2.
Henery will be kicking in a dome for the second week running, which should make his attempts much easier. He is an impressive rookie that is playing for an explosive offense. The Falcons figure to struggle to stop the Eagles because of their speed, so Henery should have plenty of opportunities in Georgia.
Henery could finish the season as the best fantasy kicker should the Eagles offense continue to put up big points.
