Fantasy baseball playoffs are underway and wins are always key to fantasy victories.  There is always lots of free wins available on the free-agent wire that go unused down the stretch.  Here are some pitchers that are under 50 percent owned in Yahoo! leagues that are worth picking up to get you those wins to seal your victory.

Aaron Harang

For some reason Aaron Harang is still only 40 percent owned in Yahoo! leagues.  His season line is pretty good at 13-6 with a 3.86 ERA and 116 strikeouts.  His WHIP is a little high at 1.40, but in the past month he has two wins, 28 Ks, a 2.90 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 31 innings.

He does play at PETCO, which is definitely an advantage, so get him in your lineup, especially for home starts, and steal some wins while getting good pitcher stats at the same time.

Jeremy Guthrie

Jeremy Guthrie has quietly been a fantasy stud in his past couple starts.  He hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in his past five starts and has three wins to go with 30 strikeouts in 32 innings and a 1.19 WHIP.  He has gone seven innings his past two starts with a combined two earned runs and 15 strikeouts, winning both games.

Guthrie is only 12 percent owned in Yahoo! leagues, so grab him and ride his hot hand to your fantasy victory.

Randy Wells

If you want a dominant pitcher, grab Randy Wells.  He hasn't lost a game since July and has only allowed more than four earned runs once in that span.  His strikeout totals aren't going to be super high, but he is a clear game manager and just gets wins.  Since the beginning of August, he is 5-0 with 32 strikeouts and a 2.98 ERA with a WHIP just over one.

For some reason he is still only 25 percent owned in Yahoo! leagues, so I give you permission to leave this page, go pick him up and come back and finish reading this article.

Mike Minor

Rookie pitcher Mike Minor has had a pretty good season, and for some reason is still only 23 percent owned in Yahoo! leagues.  In his past eight starts, he is 5-0 with a 2.67 ERA to go along with his 1.32 WHIP and 48 strikeouts in forty-five-and-one-third innings.

There is no reason those stats should be accumulating in the free-agent pool, so go grab him and ride him to fantasy glory as he pitches for one of the best teams in baseball and will definitely get you wins down the stretch.

Brandon McCarthy

Eight of Brandon McCarthy's past nine starts have been quality starts while going 6-3.  He also has two shutouts, one being a complete game, three-hit, 10-strikeout performance.  McCarthy also has one other 10-strikeout game and a nine-strikeout game in that span.  You would think these numbers would stand out to fantasy players, but he is still only 38 percent owned.  Does that make any sense?

Yes, he does play for Oakland, but he will get you wins, so grab him along with the other four pitchers in this article and ride their hot hands to your fantasy championship.
