Miami Dolphins: Vontae Davis Proclaims That He and Sean Smith Are Best in NFL
A case could be made that Vontae Davis and Sean Smith are the best CB tandem that nobody is talking about. (Not the best in the NFL—not yet, at least.)
Some punk Miami Dolphins featured columnist said that a couple of days ago in an article making the argument for 10 potential Dolphin Pro Bowlers for this upcoming season.
Well now, I guess he can change the "nobody is talking about" part, because someone decided to not only say they were the best CB tandem that nobody is talking about, but best in the league, period.

And it just happens to be one Vontae Davis, half of the CB tandem in question.
"I'm going to go out on a limb and say we're the best tandem in the league," Davis said.
Sean Smith would add, "This is Year 3, and it's time for me to take over."
One would think that head coach Tony Sparano would be against such talk; however, it doesn't seem to bother him too much.
"They need to play with swagger," he said. "There was a point in time here where they were kind of deer in headlights. They were just learning. They got thrown in there early on, and they had to sink or swim. Right now, I think they both have pretty good confidence."
Confidence is a good thing—as to whether I think they're the best in the NFL? That's why the Dolphins have 16 games right in front of them.
We'll know better come September 12th against the likes of Wes Welker, Chad Ochocinco and Deion Branch with Tom Brady throwing the passes.
