The Jacksonville Jaguars may have a long year ahead of them, especially if they can't find a legitimate No. 1 wide receiver option. On the bright side, they did lock up their quarterback of the future in Blaine Gabbert, so this preseason will be very important in helping them determine the ability of their young players moving forward.

There are injury problems in Jaguars camp though, so it will be interesting to see who takes the field against the Falcons, and who they devote time to. Tackle Eben Britton is hurt, and to what extent seems to be unknown right now. Starting quarterback David Garrard is also dealing with back issues.

On the Falcons side of the field things look a lot more optimistic, and I'm sure Falcons fans are bursting with excitement to get another look at Julio Jones and the first team offense.

I'm not sure how much playing time they will get, I highly doubt it will be much, but it will be interesting to see if they can put in another impressive drive.

Jones looked great in the first preseason game, so I expect the coaches will try give him a few more looks and continue figuring out how he can be the most effective.

What They're Saying: Gene Frenette of Sporting News writes a little bit more about the Jaguars receiver situation, and how these next few preseason games will go a long way in determining who will be getting the playing time. Mike Thomas, Jason Hill and Cecil Shorts are all projected to start at receiver, but there are a couple more players on the depth chart that can add to the passing game, as well as special teams.

Pat Yasinskas of ESPN writes about the Falcons signing veteran tight end Reggie Kelly, who actually started his career in Atlanta. He is a extremely good blocking tight end, and should add solid depth, especially since backup Justin Peelle hurt his knee in the first game of the preseason.

What's Worth Watching:

I'm rather interested to see if the Atlanta coaching staff gives the first team offense a few more cracks at showing us what they've got. I'm assuming Matt Ryan and friends won't see the field much, but they can do a lot with a little bit of time. They impressed last week, so two weeks in a row would go a long way in building my confidence in the steps they are taking.

Blaine Gabbert is the heir apparent to the Jacksonville quarterback position, so watching him progress and grow through the offseason is going to be a big story in my eyes. He's shown flashes of why they drafted him, but he has also made some rookie mistakes. It will be quite a growing process with Gabbert, but so far I like what I see out of him.

Biggest Storyline:

Julio Jones. I have a feeling that Jones is ready to bust out of his shell and take one to the house, which would cause all of Atlanta to go crazy. They've been searching for an electrifying play-maker ever since Mike Vick left the organization, and I think a lot of fans are really hitching their wagons to Jones. I'm excited to see what he can do in the league.
