Eagles vs. Steelers: Michael Vick and 5 Players Who Will Excite on Thursday

0 of 5

The Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers are two of the most exciting teams in the NFL.

And, even though Thursday night's matchup is only a preseason game, there will be plenty of electric players on the field.

The Eagles have one of the most dynamic offenses in the NFL to go with a solid defense.

Meanwhile, the Steelers have one of the most dynamic defenses in the NFL to go with a solid offense.

Let's take a look at five players who should turn in exciting performances on Thursday night.

5. Cameron Heyward, DE

1 of 5

The Steelers used their first round pick to take Heyward, the former Ohio State defensive end.

Heyward has fit right in with the Steelers' defense, impressing some of the veteran players with his hard work.

He was born to play defensive end in the 3-4 system, and should be just fine backing up Brett Keisel and Aaron Smith.

We'll have to see if he can get any pressure on the Eagles' speedy quarterbacks on Thursday night.

4. Nnamdi Asomugha, CB

2 of 5

If anyone is brave enough to throw to Asomugha's side of the field, they should do it during the preseason, when the games don't count.

I'll be watching to see if Ben Roethlisberger tries to get the ball to whoever Asomugha is covering on Thursday night.

He's the best cornerback in the game, but we don't get to see him very often because QBs are afraid to throw at him.

We'll see if he gets any action on Thursday night.

3. DeSean Jackson, WR

3 of 5

Jackson should be out on the field for much of the first half on Thursday night.

He brings a deep threat to the Eagles' offense and is one of the fastest players in the entire league.

It'll be interesting to see if the Eagles set up a play where Vick just throws it as far as he can and has Jackson run it down.

The dynamic QB-WR duo should be exciting in their first action together in 2011.

2. Mike Wallace, WR

4 of 5

Wallace has predicted a 2,000 yard season for himself in 2011.

He's going to need to have an amazing year to get to that mark.

Getting in some good work in the preseason will be a big help towards him reaching that goal.

The Steelers should let him loose on Thursday night and see if he can beat Nnamdi Asomugha or one of the Eagles' CBs on a deep route.

1. Michael Vick, QB

5 of 5

Any discussion of exciting players has to include Michael Vick.

Vick is the most exciting QB in the entire NFL because of his big arm and his ability to run.

Vick didn't attempt a run in Week 1 of the preseason, but he might run once or twice on Thursday night.

He'll also have DeSean Jackson back on the field.

I expect him to look for Jackson on a couple deep routes in the first half.
