Clinton Portis: 5 Most Outrageous on-Camera Moments from the Former Redskins RB
Former Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis has had a successful nine-year NFL career, rushing for nearly 10,000 yards and 75 touchdowns while catching almost 250 passes for another 2,018 yards.
But while Portis was a work-horse running back on the field, off it, he was a man of many faces. And I mean that literally.
Portis had a reputation for donning costumes and giving some memorable interviews throughout his career. It's something we'll miss if Portis doesn't hook on with another NFL team.
Here's a look at the top five on-camera moments from Portis.
Dolemite Jenkins
1 of 5We kick off our list with Portis impersonating Napoleon Dynamite from the cult hit of the same name.
It's not as elaborate or eye-catching as some of his others, but you have to credit Portis for trying.
The "Gosh!" part of the interview is his best attempt at re-creating Napoleon.
Choo-Choo
2 of 5How can you not like this guy?
Portis puts on his "Choo-Choo" character, who is a new dance instructor for the Redskins.
His students include Santana Moss, Mike Sellers and even Portis himself, who Choo-Choo is attempting to make even more "smooth."
Classic.
Cast Your Vote
3 of 5Appearing on the NFL Network with Rich Eisen, Portis opens up the vote for his fans in this video.
The options include: Dr. Do Itch Big, a dentist; Prime Minister Yah Mon, 2008 Presidential hopeful; Budd Foxx, ultimate fighter; and Electra, the environmentalist.
Cribs
4 of 5Portis let Kara Henderson and the NFL Network cameras into his "crib" to run down some of the features of the running back's home.
There are plenty of memorable sound bytes from Portis in this episode.
The Best of the Best
5 of 5Portis joined Rich Eisen before they aired the voting episode, running down some of Portis's best costumes over the years.
You won't find a more complete listing of Portis and his crazy on-air moments than this clip.
