Randy Gene Moss' 13-year-career came to an end yesterday when the 34-year-old announced he would not be playing football anymore.
Over the years, Moss was feared as one of the most dangerous receivers in the game.
He was also one of the most controversial players.
As we look into the Freak's career, we can see some of his most amazing, celebrated and disputed moments.
Gus Tinucci owns Tinucci's Restaurant in Minnesota. Matt Birk, Vikings' center at the time, was a big fan.
Apparently Randy Moss wasn't.
The story goes like this. Randy walks into the room where everyone is eating, enjoying their chicken, ribs, beef and what not.
Randy then proceeds to yell, "What the [expletive] is this? I wouldn't feed this [expletive expletive] to my [expletive] dog!"
Typical Randy, but we're just getting started.
From New England to Minnesota to Tennessee, Randy managed to play on three teams in a season. That alone is pretty amazing.
2010 was Randy's most dreadful and last season.
Collecting only 393 yards and quite a few confrontations later, Moss ended up on the Titans to finish his career. He started only four games for them, catching no touchdowns and amassing 80 yards.
Not the best way to go out.
Aforementioned, Randy wasn't so great last year on his USA tour of football teams. However, with his brief stint in Minnesota, he did get to make history.
Randy caught Favre's 500th career touchdown.
This milestone was one that will be difficult for any quarterback to reach. It was also Moss' 152nd touchdown of his career.
He would get one more with the Vikings against Green Bay two weeks later, giving him 153 career touchdowns, which is second all time, tied with Terrell Owens.
This was one of Moss' greatest catches.
Burning the cornerback, one-handed catch, touchdown. The fact that he was able to "Moss" the elite Darrelle Revis makes it even more special.
On this play, Revis would strain his hamstring and miss the next two weeks.
He got Moss'd.
Such a great touchdown dance. Very creative if you ask me. Known as one of the most controversial dances, he would later be slapped with a $10,000 fine for this.
But this is classic Randy. He's a very outgoing guy.
As Joe Buck put it, "That is a disgusting act by Randy Moss."
Reporter: "Write the check yet, Randy?"
Randy: "When you rich, you don't write checks."
Reporter: "If you don't write checks, how do you pay these guys?"
Randy: "Straight cash homie."
An excellent exchange of comical lines. Randy coined the phrase "straight cash homie." This was in reference to Moss' mooning (slide 6). A $10,000 fine and he paid in "straight cash."
Do you think James Harrison paid his fines in straight cash, homie?
The greatest season for a wide receiver, ever, came in 2007-2008 when Moss was on the Patriots.
He had 1,493 yards while breaking the single-season record for receiving touchdowns with 23. This was also Tom Brady's best season, throwing for 4,806 yards and a record-breaking 50 touchdowns.
The Patriots also went 16-0 in the regular season but lost to the Giants in Super Bowl XLII (42).
Holy [expletive]. Break this play down.
He burns the receiver, dives at the back of the end zone and manages to plant his two feet inbounds.
This is absolutely freakish. I guess that's why he's called the Freak. Great Thanksgiving entertainment for the whole family.
