NFL Breaking News: Chad Ochocinco Traded to New England Patriots
According to ESPN Boston, Chad Ochocinco has been acquired by the New England Patriots.
Ochocinco had previously expressed his affection for the Patriots, and was never expected to return to the Cincinnati Bengals this season. The Bengals drafted AJ Green in the first round of this year's NFL draft to go along with their youth movement on offense.
The Patriots were in need of help at receiver, and this is the team's second big move of the day after acquiring Albert Haynesworth from the Washington Redskins earlier.

Acquiring Haynesworth was a shock to most fans, as he is not exactly a typical Patriots player, but the addition of Ochocinco will blow away fans, who believed Bill Belichick wanted to avoid big personalities.
Adding Ochocinco tells Patriots fans that Belichick believes his own reputation as a great manager of talent, no matter the character concerns. Ochocinco comes with a big personality and reputation, but has never been suspended by the league or had any major off-the-field incidents.
The 10-year veteran's production dropped off last season, but that was more as a result of the Bengals offense as a whole.
With this signing, the Patriots have addressed the position that many onlookers believed was their greatest weakness from last season.
According to Adam Schefter's twitter page: "Cincinnati will receive two late draft picks from New England in return for WR Chad Ochocinco—a pick in 2012, a pick in 2013."
