Kevin Kolb Trade Makes Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals Favorites
Today's trade between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Arizona Cardinals, which sent quarterback Kevin Kolb to Arizona in exchange for former Pro Bowl cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a second-round pick, makes both teams favorites in their respective divisions.
The Eagles benefit by adding a Pro Bowl-caliber cornerback in Rodgers-Cromartie to complement the Pro Bowl cornerback they already have, Asante Samuels. The Eagles were in need of an upgrade on defense, and this is the first step towards that.
Getting their defense on par with their high-powered offense will help put the Eagles in position to make a deep postseason run.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
The Cardinals acquiring a solid quarterback in Kolb adds consistency and gives the Cardinals something they didn't have last season: a clear-cut leader.
Last year, four different players took snaps for the Cardinals, but they now have stability at the quarterback position, which is the most important position in football.
Now that the Cardinals have their starting quarterback, they are now looking to add another quality receiver to play opposite of current star wideout Larry Fitzgerald.
It is already rumored that the Cardinals are making a push to sign New York Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards, a signing that will give Kolb a better chance at having a successful first season as a full-time starter.
All though it appears the Eagles came out on top in the trade with the Cardinals, both teams will be better because of it and are now both legitimate division favorites in their respective divisions.
