Kyle Orton Rumors: Latest Buzz Surrounding the Quarterback
Over the past 24 hours, Denver Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton has been one of the hottest names swirling around the NFL rumor mill.
Most recently, NFL Network's Michelle Beisner tweeting that Orton will likely be dealt to the Miami Dolphins within the next six hours.
Nothing has beenĀ officiallyĀ announced, but I'd say that it's safe to say that Orton will be the Miami Dolphins' starting quarterback in 2011.

Orton is arguably the top quarterback now available after the news of Donovan McNabb being traded to Minnesota and Kevin Kolb likely on his way to Arizona, so it will beĀ interesting to see how much the Dolphins will have to give upĀ in returnĀ for the services of Orton.Ā
The Dolphins will be acquiring aĀ qualityĀ andĀ efficientĀ NFL starting quarterback that has a decent career record or 32-29 as a starter with a career 79.6 passer rating. However, more recently, Orton has put up stellar numbers during his two years with Denver: 41 touchdown passes, 21 interceptions and a 60.5 completion percentage with a 87.2 passer rating.
Orton's services come relatively cheap, as he's currently signed to a two-year contract worth about $11.6 million, but his salary is "too much" for the Denver Broncos, according to the Denver Post.Ā
With theĀ likelihoodĀ of Orton being shipped out of Denver to Miami, this definitely opens up the door for second-year quarterback Tim Tebow to emerge as the Broncos' starting quarterback.
Could this be beginning of the Tim Tebow era in Denver?
