NFL Free Agents 2011: The 6 Most Likely Destinations for Roy Williams
It has been an extremely hectic day in the NFL with many announced planned transactions. One of the more notable ones reported was the Dallas Cowboys planning to cut ties with wide receiver Roy Williams.
With Roy Williams set to open the free agent market this Friday, where are some possible destinations for the 29-year-old veteran?
Here are six teams that come to mind.

St. Louis Rams
1 of 6After a rather disappointing tenure with the Dallas Cowboys, Roy Williams could resurrect his career with the St. Louis Rams.
The Rams are in desperate needs of a top wide receiver and second-year quarterback Sam Bradford would certainly benefit from the presence of Williams.
Williams is a 6'3" tall target that Bradford could lock in on several times throughout a game.
Seattle Seahawks
2 of 6The Seattle Seahawks have a rather weak wide receiver corps and could certainly use the presence of the 6'3" Roy Williams.
Williams would join Mike Williams to create a fearsome duo of tall and physical receivers.
As the Seahawks have reportedly agreed to sign Tarvaris Jackson, the Seahawks need to surround Jackson with some talent in order for him to succeed.
Chicago Bears
3 of 6Despite installing Mike Martz' impressive offensive system, the Chicago Bears managed to rank 30th in total offense last season—to me, that is mind-boggling as the Bears won the NFC North.
If the Bears want to improve offensively and continue the growth of Jay Cutler, then they're going to have to find a number one wide receiver and that could be Roy Williams.
Williams would join Devin Hester and Johnny Knox to create a dynamic passing-attack.
Washington Redskins
4 of 6With reports indicating that the Washington Redskins are actively pursuing wide receivers Braylon Edwards and Santonio Holmes, then why wouldn't the 'Skins take a look at Roy Williams?
Mike Shanahan and the Redskins need to add as much firepower as they can if they plan on entering 2011 with Rex Grossman and John Beck as their top two quarterbacks.
Cleveland Browns
5 of 6The Cleveland Browns are a very young on the offensive side of the ball and could certainly benefit from the veteran presence of Roy Williams.
Williams, who's 29 years-old, would likely emerge as the team's top wide receiver as the Browns have no actual number one receiver.
If the Browns plan on rolling with second-year quarterback Colt McCoy, then they're going to have to surround him with talent and Williams is one option that may come cheap.
Jacksonville Jaguars
6 of 6The Jacksonville Jaguars are likely going to lose their 2010 number one wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker via free agency.
If the Jaguars want to stay competitive in 2011, then they're going to have to add more weapons offensively to replace the production of Sims-Walker—and one player that they could add is Roy Williams.
As of right now, the Jaguars have Mike Thomas as their top wide receiver and by adding Williams, they would create a very physically dominating duo in the AFC South.
