2011 NFL Predictions: Can Michael Vick Repeat His 2010 Performance in 2011?
Every single NFL fan is aware of what Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick did last season. After spending several months in prison following a promising start in the NFL, Vick was given a second chance by head coach Andy Ried and the Eagles, and he did not disappoint.
Vick was named to the Pro Bowl and was given the NFLās Comeback Player of the Year award in 2010. He did deserve those honors, as he not only had a great season on the field, but also proved to many that he was over the issues that took him away from the NFL and sent him to prison.
Vick was able to help get the Eagles into the playoffs last year, thanks to his ability to throw the ball (something that he hadnāt done well when he was with the Atlanta Falcons) as well as move the ball on the ground with his legs, and he looked like a star reborn. The Eagles were very fortunate to have picked him up, because they wouldnāt have gotten as far as they did in 2010 without him.
Now that opponents have a full year of film on Vick, you can bet that itās going to be much tougher for Vick to accomplish the same feats again this coming season. But he is an unusual and special talent, and is always going to be hard to stop.
The Eagles are bringing back most of the same group of players from last season (as far as can be seen despite the blinders put on by the lockout), so that will give Vick the same weapons that he grew with and got used to in 2010.
And with a year of playing with one another under their belts, itās much more likely that Vick and the Eagles offense will see success this coming season.
Vick has had some problems staying healthy and, in order for both he and the Eagles to have success next season, he has to remain healthy. Vickās habit of taking off and running the ball leaves him wide open to taking shots that could potentially injure him and cause him to miss time.

While it would be ideal for him to stay home and throw the ball away if the play isnāt there, having the ability to run and make plays with his legs is a bonus even if it puts him at a bigger risk of injury.
The Eagles are poised to have a good season next year and, as long as Vick stays healthy, they shouldnāt have too much of a problem winning a lot of games and making things interesting in the NFC. Yes, teams are going to be better prepared for Vick this coming season, but he will still be very difficult to stop.
So can Vick repeat the same success in 2011 that he had in 2010?
As mentioned, keeping healthy and keeping consistency on offense (the health of his fellow offensive stars is going to be vital as well) will help, and Vick should be able to frustrate opposing defenses enough to cause problems and win games.
Simply put, Vick and the Eagles should have success next season and end up making the playoffs once again.
