NFL Lockout: Vincent Jackson Could Be a Potential Roadblock in Settlement
Would saying that Vincent Jackson is portraying himself to be an extremely selfish human-being be a valid statement? Quite frankly, it could be spot-on, 100 percent accurate.
In the latest news that the NFL lockout is nearly over, one of the few issues remaining is San Diego Chargers wide receiver Vincent Jackson.
It appears that nearly everyone from both sides, the players and the owners, have agreed to terms on a new deal in place, but Jackson could be standing alone by requesting $10 million in order for the Brady v. NFL case to be settled, according to ProFootballTalk.

Jackson, along with New England Patriots offensive guard Logan Mankins, have been reportedly requesting $10 million or a grant to free agency over the past few days; however, Mankins and his agent, Frank Bauer, did not make any requests, according to ESPN Boston and Chris Mortensen.
With only a couple minor speed bumps in the way of a pending labor deal, Jackson now creates a giant roadblock that will likely stall the deal.
ESPN.com reported that in the new labor deal, there will be no money or free-agency privileges granted to any players—a la Vincent Jackson.
As Mankins and his agent have reportedly denied any reports of certain demands, there is only one party that needs to put an end to all of these speculations, and that's Jackson and his agents, Jonathan Feinson and Neil Schwartz.
It's certainly good news that a new deal is in place and that it's agreed upon by the majority, but it's certainly scary knowing that Jackson could hold up the process and quite possibly turn into a major roadblock.
The deal may be agreed upon, but it's still pending with a lot of work still to be done.
