The Legend of Sam Fuld is now on Twitter. The account has yet to be verified by Major League Baseball, but @RaysRepublic has confirmed that it is indeed him.

"Alright, folks. You demanded it, and Super Sam answered. @ is now on Twitter. And it is, in fact, the real "

According to his first tweet, Twitter king David Price convinced him to get an account.

"My teammate @ convinced me to join Twitter. Love the tweets. Keep em coming. Thanks for all the support!"

In the past half hour, he has gained over 500 followers, and I suspect that by the end of the day, he may have well over 10,000.

You can follow him at @SamFuld5.

It looks like he is still getting his profile set up, and it remains to be seen how big of a tweeter Fuld will be, but this should only add to the enormous popularity of the Rays outfielder.

What are you waiting for? Follow him now!

Edit: @MLB is now confirming the account.

"The day has now come when humans can interact with demigods: Please welcome @ to Twitter.

Very smart of them to push the account, as he is easily one of the most popular players in MLB right now.
