Cleveland Browns: Peyton Hillis Faces Michael Vick in Madden NFL 2012 Finals

Brian MurtaughApr 18, 2011

The final match-up for the Madden 2012 cover vote has officially been decided by the fans, as Peyton Hillis of the Cleveland Browns has defeated Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers and advanced to the final round.

Hillis will now take on Michael Vick in the finals, in order to determine who will become the cover athlete for the latest version of Madden Football, set to come out this August.

Vick scored 21 touchdowns in 2010 and went on to compete in his fourth Pro Bowl, while having a passer rating well over 100. Vick has already been on the Madden video game cover—when he was a member of the Atlanta Falcons.

Hillis' push through this tournament has been refreshing. He has made headlines for being one of the few white running backs in the entire NFL and for being one of the hardest rushers that anyone has ever seen. Hillis led the Browns in rushing and receiving in 2010, and simply made Cleveland football exciting to watch for the first time in several years.

The final announcement of the winner will come on April 27 at a live taping of Sports Nation on ESPN. Hillis and Vick already appeared on the show together a number of weeks ago, as both expressed what winning the competition would mean for not only them, but the cities they play for.
