In an attempt to convince all of the fans there will still be football this season, the NFL announced the preseason schedule for the 2011 season today.

This season the St. Louis Rams will be a part of the first official 2011 preseason game, the Hall of Fame game played in Canton, Ohio, at Fawcett Stadium.

The game will be played against the Chicago Bears on August 7th and mark the fourth time the Rams have taken part in the game, the last occurrence being in 2001 with a victory over the Miami Dolphins

It will be a special weekend indeed for Rams fans, as former RB Marshall Faulk is set to be inducted into the Hall of Fame the day prior.

Following the Hall of Fame Game, the Rams will return to St Louis for their first preseason home games against the Colts and Titans in Weeks 1 and 2.

The Rams will then go on the road for their final two games: a battle against the Chiefs for the Governor's Cup and a showdown against the Jaguars to close out their preseason slate.

Exact dates and times are yet to be announced. Only the weekends upon which they will be played are set.
