The Cleveland Browns have been involved in some strange situations this spring, as the team has completely remodeled the coaching staff and released many of their former veteran players.

However, one of the more positive stories coming from Cleveland, revolves around Peyton Hillis and his quest to become the new Madden NFL cover athlete for the Madden video game franchise. In an interview hosted by SportsNation earlier this week, Hillis spoke about his quest to get his picture on the cover and about the upcoming NFL draft.

When a fan asked both Hillis and his co-star, Michael Vick, a question regarding the NFL draft and who they feel should be taken with the first overall pick, Hillis replied, "Patrick Peterson. He's by far the best player and athlete in the draft."

Hillis' next response was slightly more controversial as he stated, "If Cam Newton gets picked No. 1 overall, I will throw a table out the window."

Hillis chose not to elaborate on the quote, but made his feelings obvious to the media covering the event. Hillis has a right to his opinion just like every other person, but many would find it strange that he would be upset with Newton being taken first overall.

The Browns are currently in a state where they need to add quality talent to the roster and having the big name quarterbacks off the board early can only help the team's chances at acquiring a player like Peterson or A.J. Green.

Many mock drafts, including Mel Kiper's on ESPN, show Peterson still available to the Browns with the sixth overall pick, despite his support from Hillis and other players around the league.
