With the start of the 2008 Major League Playoffs, 4 teams from last year’s playoffs (Cubs, Phillies, Red Sox, and Angels) have made it to the dance. 4 teams who haven’t made it to the playoffs with much frequency (Brewers, Dodgers, White Sox, and Rays) are joining them. While the teams may change from year to year, many faces on those teams might have been on (or coaching) the opposing team in the past. In this installment, I’ll cover the National League:
Cubs:
Rich Harden – Former Oakland A’s Starting Pitcher
Ted Lilly – Toronto and Oakland A’s Starting Pitcher
Jason Marquis – St. Louis Cardinals Starting Pitcher
Jim Edmonds – Angels and St. Louis Cardinals Outfielder
Reed Johnson – Toronto Outfielder
Alfonso Soriano – Yankees Infielder
Lou Pinella – Rays, Mariners, Reds, and Yankees Manager/Player
Alan Trammel – Former Detroit Manager and Player
Phillies:
Joe Blanton – Oakland A’s Starting Pitcher
Brad Lidge – Houston Astros Pitcher
