If you saw Alex Rodriguez walking down the street, would you recognize him?
Of course you would.
Many sports players around the globe are treated like rock stars nowadays. They have hundreds of screaming fans and even paparazzi following them.
Here are the top 20 biggest rock stars in Major League Baseball.
No. 20. Derek Lee- 1B- Baltimore Orioles

Derek Lee has been around baseball for a long time now.
In his many seasons as a Chicago Cub, he was able to gain a huge fan base. His move to Atlanta gave him even more fans, as he helped the Braves grab a wildcard spot in the playoffs.
Now, he's in Baltimore playing in a surprisingly powerful lineup, which will increase his popularity even more.
No. 19. Brian Wilson- RP- San Francisco Giants

Brian Wilson has easily one of the best characters in the major leagues.
He has grown a huge fan base in San Francisco over the past couple years by stunts on and off the field.
B-Weezy always speaks his mind and shows off his true colors. He recently appeared on Jay Leno dressed as a sailor, with a beard that was died gray.
His on the field performance isn't too shabby, either.
No. 18. David Wright- 3B- New York Mets

Slightly overshadowed by the New York Yankees, Wright is still the star of the other NY team, the Mets.
He has been a very good and consistent player over the past few years, and his jersey is currently No. 14 on the top selling list.
No. 17. Stephen Strasburg- SP- Washington Nationals
Christian Petersen/Getty Images
Strasburg's fan base blew up after his first major league start.
The Washington Nationals have been bad for such a long time that this glimmer of hope, and a great one at that, caused a ton of hype.
It's safe to say that the entire fan base of the Nationals love Strasburg, and the entire nation will get behind him once he comes back from injury.
No. 16. Mariano Rivera- RP- New York Yankees
Donald Bowers/Getty Images
Rivera is pretty much the opposite of Strasburg. He's been in the league for a long time, been with the same team, the Yankees, for a long time, and has earned his respect.
He is loved and adored by Yankee faithful and respected everywhere else.
No. 15. Dustin Pedroia- 2B- Boston Red Sox

With his jersey at No. 15 on the top selling list, and a MVP in recent years, Pedroia is one of Boston's most popular players.
His contact hitting ability, along with his defensive skills, make him one of baseball's best.
No. 14. Alfonso Soriano- OF- Chicago Cubs
Christian Petersen/Getty Images
After playing in Texas, New York, and Chicago, Soriano has developed a fan base that is nearly nationwide.
His offensive numbers have shrunken over the past few years, but fans still remember back to when he was an all-star caliber player.
No. 13. Ryan Braun- OF- Milwaukee Brewers

Still a young player in this league, it is evident that Ryan Braun will be around for a long time.
Him, along with Prince Fielder are the core of the Brewers squad. His jersey sales are currently ranked at No. 13 on the overall list.
No. 12. Cliff Lee- SP- Philadelphia Phillies
Drew Hallowell/Getty Images
Cliff Lee's career took a turn for the worst when he was sent down to the minors in Cleveland. Once he came back, though, he stayed.
He has proved to be dominant over the last few years with Seattle and Texas. He was a major part in Ranger's trip to the World Series last year.
Now, he's on arguably the best pitching rotation ever and will surely gain the fan base of the Philly faithful.
No. 11. Tim Lincecum- SP- San Francisco Giants
Ronald Martinez/Getty Images
How can you not love Tim Lincecum?
When the Giants called him up a few years ago, they were in their worst slump in decades. TImmy the, "Freak," "Franchise," or whatever you want to call him helped pull the Giants out of that slump.
He's since gotten two Cy Young awards along with bringing the World Series back to the Bay Area, and the fans there love him.
No. 10. Troy Tulowitzki- SS- Colorado Rockies
Lisa Blumenfeld/Getty Images
It might be his mullet, or it might be his offensive statistics that make Tulowitzki a beloved player.
He plays with heart and ferocity and provides a spark in the Rockies offense.
When he teams up with Carlos Gonzalez once again this year, that ball club will be a force in the NL.
No. 9. Roy Halladay- SP- Philadelphia Phillies
Jeff Zelevansky/Getty Images
Throwing a no hitter in the playoffs in front of the Philly fans was pretty much all Halladay needed to become a legend there.
He also received a Cy Young award, if that matters.
Along with the huge fan base that still love him from Toronto, he has a tremendous amount of support around the majors.
No. 8. Chase Utley- 2B- Philadelphia Phillies
Jeff Gross/Getty Images
With the No. 3 selling jersey in overall sales, Chase Utley may be the most popular player in Philadelphia.
He has become a veteran leader of the Phillies and helped them win a world series a few years ago. The entire city of Philadelphia, especially the ladies, love Utley.
No. 7. Ichiro Suzuki- OF- Seattle Mariners
Eliot J. Schechter/Getty Images
Not only has Ichiro built up a huge fan base in America, but he has hardcore and loving fans all across the world.
He would probably be higher on this list if he played on a bigger market team then Seattle, but his skills on the baseball field still bring in the fans and earn him the number seven spot.
No. 6. Josh Hamilton- OF- Texas Rangers
Elsa/Getty Images
Hamilton has come a long way so far in his MLB career. After being drafted first overall by the Tampa Bay Rays, he succumbed to his drug problem and had to leave baseball.
Since his return, Hamilton has proved his worth as the No. 1 overall pick. He helped take the Rangers to the world series last year and that, along with his memorable story, makes him very popular in major league baseball.
No. 5. Alex Rodriguez- 3B- New York Yankees
Stephen Dunn/Getty Images
Alex Rodriguez would have probably been number one on this list a few years ago. Since his admission of steroids, he's received a lot more hate then love.
Still, once a rock star, always a rock star. He is famous world-wide and has the No. 6 overall selling jersey in the MLB.
No. 4. Albert Pujols- 1B- St. Louis Cardinals
Jared Wickerham/Getty Images
Albert Pujols is widely considered the best player in baseball right now. With that title comes huge popularity.
He has become a veteran leader in St. Louis, and the fans always show him love on the baseball diamond.
No. 3. David Ortiz- DH- Boston Red Sox
Jim Rogash/Getty Images
With the kind of personality that David Ortiz has, you can't help but love him.
Big Papi, as he is affectionately known, has been in the league for a long time and has grown a huge fan base in Boston especially, but nationwide as well.
His jersey is currently No. 2 on the overall jersey sales list.
No. 2. Manny Ramirez- OF- Tampa Bay Rays
J. Meric/Getty Images
From his dugout phone-calls to his appearance in the Green Monster to his wacky hair, Manny Ramirez has had some well-publicized moments.
He was adored by fans in Boston and then possibly even more so with his stint in Los Angeles.
Now, hes moved on to Tampa Bay, where the fans there are waiting for a huge performance from him. His jersey is No. 4 on the overall sales.
No. 1. Derek Jeter- SS- New York Yankees
Tim Boyles/Getty Images
This was a landslide victory for Derek Jeter. He has been the leader of the Yankees for nearly a decade and led them to multiple world series championships.
The Yankee fans will always love and adore him, and the rest of the nation respects his play.
He is the king of baseball at the moment, and it will be a shame once he retires.
