Pennington is a two-time NFL Comeback Player of the Year, and in 2008 he finished 2nd in MVP voting, behind only Peyton Manning.
Is this time different? Thatโs the question. Pennington is recovering from his fourth surgery on his throwing shoulder. Not an easy task for any quarterback.
โIโve accepted the possibility of being with another team,โ Pennington admitted, โand the possibility of no one being interested.โย ย ย ย ย ย ย
Teams may not show interest. Pennington only ran two plays this season with the Miami Dolphins before opting for surgery.
Can he stay healthy and is he worth the risk? This is a major unknown and will take a lot of work on Penningtonโs part. But the comeback seems to be his specialty. And who doesnโt love a good comeback story?
Only time will tell if Pennington can do it again. But it should be fun to watch.
