Josh McDaniels To St. Louis Rams: Why He Will Be Good For Sam Bradford
The St. Louis Rams made a big splash today with the hiring of former Broncos coach Josh McDaniels.
Despite struggling as a head coach, McDaniels proved to be an offensive mastermind in Denver.
He helped Kyle Orton put up Pro-Bowl numbers for the majority of the season, and helped with the development of Matt Cassel.
It also helps that he spent time running the offense with Tom Brady while in New England.
Here are a few reasons why McDaniels will help with the development of Sam Bradford.

McDaniels' Past Success Means Improvement for Rams Offense
1 of 5
The acquisition of Josh McDaniels as an offensive coordinator can only be a positive move for the Rams.
McDaniels is a proven offensive mind, based on his track record in Denver, along with his success with other quarterbacks.
The weakest link of the Rams this season was the offense, especially within the passing game. Sam Bradford made strides in his rookie season, but it wasn't enough to sneak into the playoffs.
McDaniels arrival should guarantee a much improved offense in St. Louis, along with putting the young Bradford in a better position to succeed.
McDaniels Arrival Means Improved Offensive Targets for Sam Bradford
2 of 5
With a potential explosive game plan coming to St. Louis, Sam Bradford needs better offensive weapons.
In 2011, we should expect a change. Veteran receivers Chad Ochocinco and possibly Vincent Jackson will be available and could interest the Rams.
Lets not forget about this year's draft class, either. AJ Green, Julio Jones, and Justin Blackman are all possible targets the Rams could be looking at.
Bradford won't reach his potential until he is given vertical threats and reliable targets at the wide receiver position.
Despite McDaniels' Recent Past, the Rams Will Have a Balanced Offense

Josh McDaniels' arrival in St. Louis might alarm fans because of his lack of a balanced attack in Denver.
Don't be scared. The Rams offense will have success being a balanced unit. Steven Jackson is one of the more underrated players in football, yet is one of the best running backs in the league.
With the expected improvement of receivers, less carries for Jackson will mean opportunities for success down the road, as the team will not attempt to over use their top running back.
A good running game and an improved offensive system will put less pressure on Bradford early in his career, which could lead to him taking off in the next few seasons.
Sam Bradford Will Be More Effecient With the Football

As a rookie, Sam Bradford made crucial mistakes in his first season. Even though he will improve, Josh McDaniels will work with Bradford to help him avoid these mistakes in the early parts of his career.
McDaniels has worked with Tom Brady and Matt Cassel, two quarterbacks who were very effecient with the football in the regular season.
With his addition of offensive weapons, Bradford won't have to force a lot of passes into tight coverage.
His mobility and athleticism will also be a key as he can use his size to avoid some costly turnovers.
The Rams Could Be the Team To Represent the NFC In 2011

The addition of Josh McDaniels might have made the Rams the team to beat in the NFC West.
While the Rams young defense took great strides last season, the new look offense could be the key to the division crown.
In a division where defense isn't a strength in the Rams opponents, improved weapons and a new game plan could help Sam Bradford flourish and potentially lead this team back to the post-season.
