Bears Vs Seahawks 2011 NFL Playoffs: Chicago That Good or Seattle That Bad?

Old AccountJan 16, 2011

The Chicago Bears are thrashing the Seattle Seahawks after one half of play in this 2011 NFL divisional round game.

Coming into the game, the Bears were a second seed that is healthy and is used to playing in these cold temperatures. They were facing a Seahawks team that is riding a win over the defending Super Bowl champions and has plenty of confidence coming in.

Both teams have gone in different directions. The Bears are firing on all cylinders. Jay Cutler is getting protection against the Seahawks defensive front and is running an effective offense.

There were questions of who could be a major play-maker for Chicago in the playoffs, and tight end Greg Olsen has rose to the occasion.

The Bears defense also continues to play like one of the more experienced units in football, limiting Matt Hasselbeck to no plays down the field to Mike Williams or any other targets.

However, it's possible the Seahawks have been just that bad. The Seahawks defense continues to struggle in the 2010 season and is giving Cutler the time to find one open receiver down field.

Poor tackling and miscommunication has also been the downfall for Seattle, along with an inept offense that has been unable to put together any rhythm.

So the question remains, have the Bears played that well or the Seahawks playing that bad?

The Bears deserve some credit at least. This team did not show any signs of rust, and came to play against this Seahawks team.

However, call me a doubter of this team, but I still want to see this team show success against the Green Bay Packers.

They have beaten Green Bay once already, but this Packers team is firing on all sides of the ball and will be tough for any opponent to handle.

The Bears-Packers rivalry should be another good game in chilly Chicago. Who will prevail in the NFC Championship with a birth to Dallas on the line?
