Andrew Luck surprised a bunch of football followers when he announced his intentions to return to Stanford for his junior season, even with looming uncertainty surrounding Cardinal head coach Jim Harbaugh.

The loss of Luck, who many evaluators considered the best pure prospect available in this class, certainly weakens the 2011 pool and with the continuing lockout talks ringning in everybody’s ears, you have to wonder if some other elite underclassmen don’t follow Luck’s lead.

Sorry kids, but one of you is going to have to play for the Panthers whether you like it or not.

It’s going to be odd taking a look at all the Andrew Luckless mock drafts from here on out after seeing his name at the top of every mock since September.
