Urban Meyer will feel much accomplished today after his college protégé and highly successful quarterback Tim Tebow will most likely make his first NFL start following the injury to usual starter Kyle Orton. Orton has been sidelined this week during practice due to bruised ribs he suffered in a surprising loss to the struggling Arizona Cardinals. As opposed to getting treatment during the game and following, Orton opted to try to tough it out but it seems treatment might have been the better option due to the fact that Tebow took almost all of the first team reps this week.

The Broncos have yet to comment saying that Tebow is the for sure game time starter but all signs point to it.  The Broncos have struggled of late going a mere 5-18 during Orton’s last 23 starts. With the recent firing of head coach Josh McDaniels, it looks like change is what the Broncos need to get back on track. Unfortunately for the Broncos, Tebow hasn’t had a ton of game experience this season with only a lackluster 12 rushes for 28 yards and 3 touchdowns, along with one pass for 3 yards and a touchdown to help them take down the then rolling Kansas City Chiefs. The immense upside of Tebow starting is the sheer fire and love for the game he brings to the field and the locker room. Despite the low level of appearances this year, the Broncos know he has the potential to be a star based on his amazing college career and the dedicated work he puts in during practice.

Hoping the Denver Broncos make the right move and keep rolling with change, will give fans and critics the opportunity to see Tim Tebow show the sports world what he can do. After many critics saying he lacked the prototypical NFL quarterback style, today will help disprove that for Tebow and his supporters. With the Broncos yet to confirm Tebow as the starter for today, fans will have to wait until game time to see if the Heisman and National Championship winning Tebow, can bring the much needed success to the Denver Broncos.
