With the last second loss to Tampa Bay eliminating the Redskins from playoff contention, (dang you Gano!) it is time to look to the future and see who this great franchise will draft in April. I will bring into this article who I think will help the franchise and can help turn it around.

Enjoy!

Hail to the Redskins!

1st Round Pick: Ras-I Dowling, Cornerback, Virginia

A great prospect and athlete. Ras-I along with DeAngelo Hall could be very dangerous.

Grade on Pick: 3.9/5

This pick would change dramatically if Carlos Rodgers learned how to catch.

Projections in first season:

three picks, 34 tackles

2nd Round Pick:Mike Pouncey/ Offensive Guard/ Florida

Twin brother of first round pick and starting center for the Steelers Maukice Pouncey, Mike Pouncey could easily adjust to offensive guard and play center if Casey Rabach gets banged up.

Grade on Pick: 4.1/5

3rd Round Pick: Donovan McNabb

4th Round Pick: You Decide

I don't really won't to do the 4th round pick because it is a unlucky number for me.

So on the comment page, tell me who you think we should draft with the 4th round pick.

Fifth Round Selection: James Rodgers, Wide Receiver, Oregon State

James Rodgers is a good late round selection that would be labeled a "steal".

He would be in competition with Anthony Armstrong and Brandon Banks for time, but it would be worth it.

With this guy on the Skins' the receiving core would be very dangerous.

Grade on Pick: 4.2/5

Projections for first season:

13 catches, 210 yards, one TD

Sixth Round Selection: Steven Sheffeild, Quarterback, Texas Tech

I was really impressed with this guy in the Alamo Bowl and ever since have been studying him.

He is a pure pocket passer with a cannon for a arm, but can scramble out when needed.

Grade on Pick: 3.3/5

Projections for first season:

35 completions, 445 yards , three touchdowns, two interceptions

7th Round Pick: Ian Williams, Nose Tackle, Notre Dame

Ian Williams is a big, physical guy who can easily fill the void "Fat Albert" left and help improve this Redskins defense.

Grade on Pick: 3/5

Projections for first season:

40 tackles, four sacks, one INT
