Moving Today's Market

A very light baseball schedule on get-away day but the Wise Guys (professional betters) are still making their bets. The Rangers against the Angels have received some attention in today's market. Two Smart Money moves were triggered at BetUS (+2.28 units) and Skybook (+9.00 units), which caused Pinnacle to move from the opening line of Angels -179 to -175. The public is in favor of the Angels as they have received 70 percent of the money line bets. Bandon McCarthy (0-0, 2.25 ERA) starts for the Rangers against Jon Garland (11-8, 4.49 ERA).

The Phillies and Cubs begin a four-game series that has playoff implications written all over it. Ryan Dempster (15-5, 2.85 ERA) starts for the Cubs against the Phillies ace Cole Hamels (11-8, 3.20 ERA). Pinnacle opened at Cubs -136 and is currently at -138. The money is slightly favoring the Cubs, as 54 percent of the public betting the money line is on Chicago so this game has shown interest on both sides. In four career starts against the Cubs, Hamels is 3-1 with a 3.00 ERA.
