Hello everyone and welcome to the Fantasy Football Expert's Guide. I've been playing fantasy football for about eight years and I love it.

I will try and put out a few top five guides every week starting in Week 10. For now, we're going to look at the top five waiver wire pickups for the week. I won't list anyone that is owned in more than 80 percent of the leagues on ESPN.

No. 5. Josh Freeman, QB, 47.9 Percent Owned

Josh Freeman has an excellent match up this week at home against the Carolina Panthers. Considering all the top-notch quarterbacks that are on bye this week including Aaron Rogers, Drew Brees and Philip Rivers, Freeman should be an excellent choice.

He's racked up five touchdown passes and 900 yards over the last four weeks, with only two interceptions. Carolina D has been absolutely horrific as well.

My projection: 200 yds with two passing TDs.

No. 4. Mike Williams (Sea), WR, 70.7 Percent Owned

Who would've ever thought that Mike Williams would be a productive fantasy player after his last few seasons? I love his match-up this week against a very shaky Arizona defense. Although he hasn't done all that well in his last couple games, I expect a big turnaround this week.

My projection: Six receptions, 80-yard performance with a TD.

No. 3. Steve Johnson, WR, 74.3 Percent Owned

Steve Johnson, another no-name who has performed well so for fantasy owners this year. He has a great match up as well this week. He had his best performance of his career last week with 11 receptions and about 150 yards. My advice would be to ride him while you can, and this week is a great time to do that. Look for big numbers once again.

My projection: Eight receptions, 100 yards and a TD.

No. 2. David Garrard, QB, 36.9 Percent Owned

4 of 5

I'm very surprised how little Garrard is owned. It's true he isn't on a great team and he hasn't been known as a fantasy stud but he's done very well this year and had the performance of his life last week.

This week, he plays the Houston defense which has been anything but good. Houston just allowed a monster performance to Philip Rivers last week, and I expect them to do the same to Garrard.

My projection: 150 passing yards, one pass TD, one rush TD and 50 rush yards.

No. 1. Jacob Tamme, TE, 61.6 Percent Owned

If this guy is in your league still, you have to get him. He's done an amazing job filling in for Dallas Clark, and has quickly become one of the favorites of Peyton Manning. Last week he was targeted a whopping 17 times! He has touchdown receptions in both of his first two games, and I love him again this week.

My projection: Six receptions, 80 yards and one TD.
