Randy Moss Trade Rumors: Moss To Be Traded To the Minnesota Vikings?

Eric StrellerOct 5, 2010

It appears that New England Patriots Wide Receiver Randy Moss could be traded to the Minnesota Vikings very shortly. The Patriots refused to sign Moss to an extension in the offseason and that didn’t sit well with him.  That made it no secret that the Patriots didn’t have Moss in their long term plans and you can imagine how that made Moss feel.

The Minnesota Vikings have had a lot of problems at receiver this year with Sidney Rice being injured, Percy Harvin dealing with migraine headaches, and Bernard Berrian just plain sucking. Moss would be a huge addition to this team that many experts picked to win the NFC this season. Moss was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings and is currently second in franchise history in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.

Brett Favre is a huge Randy Moss fan. He lobbied for the Packers to sign Moss when he was last free agent. Favre wanted him, but the Packers didn’t. It is said that this was one of the incidents that caused problems between Favre and the Packers front office. Favre should be ecstatic to get a chance to play with Moss in his last NFL season.

The end of Randy Moss’ career is approaching, but don’t let that fool you, this guy can still play. He has the speed, hands, and route running ability to make big plays, something that has been lacking in the Minnesota passing game so far this season.
