Stat Attack: Interesting Numbers from the First Two Weeks of the NFL Season
I'm a stat man.
I'm one of those guys that's just interested in the numbers, even if they mean nothing at all. Here's a list of stats from the first two weeks of the NFL season that you may find interesting.
Changes under center: 41 different QBs have a attempted a pass this year. Expect this number to increase further after Week Three with teams growing increasingly impatient with their QBs.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Air it out: One QB who's had a busy start to the season is Cowboys' Tony Romo, who has attempted a whopping 98 passes. The Cowboys 99 pass attempts dwarfs their 42 rush attempts.
The Houston Texans have only had to defend 27 runs. The second lowest total in the NFL is 41. With Dallas coming to town, the Texans will likely face another aerial assault.
Pass to me: Atlanta Falcons WR Roddy White has been targeted 35 times in two games. That's almost half of the Falcons 76 pass attempts. Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald must be missing Kurt Warner. He's been thrown to 27 times but caught just 10 balls. Houston Texans WR Kevin Walter has caught all 13 of the balls thrown to him.
What a difference a year makes: The New York Jets defense allowed a league lowest 32 percent conversion percentage last year. Fast forward a year, and the Jets can't seem to get off the field on third down. Teams have converted a league high 53 percent of third downs against them.
The Detroit Lions mustered the fourth lowest sack total in the league last year with 26. Two games into this season and led by rookie DT Ndamukong Suh, the Lions have posted nine sacks, second to only Green Bay.
0-2 for a reason: The Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills haven't recorded a single takeaway on defense yet. The Bills ranked second in the NFL with 28 interceptions last year.
Swarm to the Ball: A bit of a pointless stat but the Washington Redskins defense has recorded 76 assisted tackles compared to the second highest total, the Buffalo Bills, with 53.
Look out for Anquan Boldin in Week Three, who can become the fastest player to reach 600 receptions in NFL history if he manages to record two receptions in his 98th game against the Browns.
