Dancing With the Stars: Power Ranking Kurt Warner and Rick Fox's Chances

0 of 12

The newest season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars is underway, and two of our favorite sports figures have decided to take their talents to a completely different kind of stage.

Former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner and former NBA star Rick Fox danced for the first time during the show's season premiere, and they did a whole lot better than we expected.

So where do these sports heroes stack up against the rest of the competition?

Here, we will rank all of the Dancing With The Stars contestants and determine whether Warner and Fox have a shot of winning the whole thing.

12. Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas

1 of 12

    DWTS Score: 18

    B/R Score: 15

Even though other performers received lower rankings, Bristol Palin just doesn't do it for a lot of people. She looked stiff and nervous in her performance, and we just don't see her getting very far in this competition.

11. Michael Bolton and Chelsie Hightower

    DWTS Score: 16

    B/R Score: 15

I'm just going to come out and say it:

Michael Bolton looked a little drunk during his performance.

10. Margaret Cho and Louis Van Amstel

3 of 12

    DWTS Score: 15

    B/R Score: 15

We get that Margaret Cho is a comedian, but she didn't seem to be taking her performance very seriously. Cho tried to make faces to bring the "laugh factor" to her dancing, but the judges weren't amused.

Hey, you don't see Kurt Warner bringing a football onstage. Do you?

9. Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Karina Smirnoff

4 of 12

    DWTS Score: 15

    B/R Score: 17

The Situation probably deserved his score of 15, but we don't think he's leaving anytime soon. There are plenty of other, less-appealing options for the first-cut duo, and Mike and Karina will be safe for at least a few weeks.

8. David Hasselhoff and Kym Johnson

5 of 12

    DWTS Score: 15

    B/R Score: 17

Hasselhoff's age was showing in his performance of the Cha-cha-cha, but we love him anyway.

The Hoff has a definite cult following, and we think he'll stick around for quite some time.

7. Florence Henderson and Corky Ballas

6 of 12

    ABC.com

    DWTS Score: 18

    B/R Score: 18

Florence Henderson did surprisingly well considering her age, and she held her own against the "youngsters."

However, we have to admit that it was a little disturbing watching a woman of her age dance in such a sexy style.

6. Audrina Patridge and Tony Dovolani

7 of 12

    ABC.com

    DWTS Score: 19

    B/R Score: 18

Okay. I'll admit it. I just plain don't like Audrina Patridge.

    But the girl can dance.

5. Kurt Warner and Anna Trebunskaya

8 of 12

    ABC.com

    DWTS Score: 19

    B/R Score: 20

What can I say? I'm rooting for Kurt Warner this season. He's handsome. He's likable.

But he has a lot of work to do. He looks a little stiff out there, but if we give him a few weeks, he'll be fine.

4. Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy

9 of 12

    ABC.com

    DWTS Score: 23

    B/R Score: 21

Brandy has the advantage of a musical background coming into this competition, and it shows. She will be a top contender this season based on performance alone.

And it doesn't hurt that she seems genuinely happy to be onstage.

3. Kyle Massey and Lacy Schwimmer

10 of 12

    ABC.com

    DWTS Score: 23

    B/R Score: 22

I was completely shocked that Kyle Massey can actually move! He was confident and accurate without looking rehearsed. The only factor working against Massey is the fact that many viewers may not know who he is.

2. Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough

11 of 12

    ABC.com

    DWTS Score: 24

    B/R Score: 22

I think that Jennifer Grey has an unfair advantage in this competition. That being said, the Dirty Dancing star dominated Week 1. She was elegant and flawless in her performance, and if she keeps it up, she will remain the favorite to win this season.

1. Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke

12 of 12

    ABC.com

    DWTS Score: 22

    B/R Score: 24

Rick Fox's performance in one word?

    Sexy.

Jennifer Grey might be the front-runner in this competition, but Rick Fox could win with his smile alone.

I can just see all the middle-aged women sitting at home completely swooning over Fox's charm...

Oh yeah. His dancing isn't bad either.
