Braylon Edwards was arrested for DUI at 5 am Tuesday morning. This is coming off a great game on Sunday vs. the Patriots in which he had a touchdown and a key two point conversion.

With Edwards incident last year with punching Lebron James' friend, he will most likely be suspended.   Although, there is no automatic suspension under any circumstances involving DUI's, I wouldnt get my hopes up

If he does get suspended, it will be a huge blow to the Jets offense. Edwards was a key part of the Jets offense especially with Holmes suspended for two more games. He helped Sanchez spread the field and was a big play maker last week.

So what will this mean for the Jets if Braylon Edwards gets suspended?

1. Expect the Jets to come hard after Laveranues Coles: Coles decided to not take the Jets offer to come back to the team after cutting him. They resigned David Clowney to take his place to replace Coles. Now with only three receivers, expect Tennanbaum to be on his knees begging for LC to come back to the Jets. They will need a reliable second receiver since neither Clowney nor Brad Smith are really ready to step up and be starters.

If they don't get Coles, then expect them to bring up Patrick Turner, former Dolphins receiver who was signed to the practice squad this year.

2. Expect the Jets to run more: Since Edwards will most likely be out, Sanchez can't spread the field as much. This means they will probably go to the standard ground and pound they ran last year.

Last week the Jets ran the ball 26 times against the Patriots. Against the Dolphins I would expect them to run it around 35 to 40 times.

3. Expect a lot of Bad Press involving the Jets: With the Ines Sainz story and now this, I would expect alot of people. to criticize the Jets and their recent behavior.

4. Expect the Jets to rely heavily on Tomlinson: Due to the Jets probably running the ball more without Edwards, LT will get alot of carries. I would expect him to get  20 carries now since the Jets haven't been trusting Greene as much.

Also, he will get the ball alot in the passing game. Without Edwards, Sanchez only doesn't have his main receiver anymore. This means he only has three reliable receivers, Keller, Cotchery, and LT. The Dolphins and other teams will probably keep a close eye on Keller and put there main corner on Cotchery, so expect Sanchez to checkdown to LT alot.

Overall, If Braylon Edwards gets suspended it will be a huge blow to the Jets and their championship run.
