Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Advice: Get 'em or Don't Sweat 'em – Week Two
There were some unusual heroes on Sunday. There always are. Letโs take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.
QBs
Josh Freeman, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: ย Freeman only completed half of his 24 passes, but had 178 yards and two TDs. He added 43 on the ground. He isnโt a fantasy starter, but heโs rock solid in two QB leagues and a decent QB2.
Ruling: ย Get โem.
Kerry Collins, Tennessee Titans: ย Collins replaced Vince Young and threw for 149 yards with a TD and a pick. VY will likely get the start next week.
Ruling: ย Donโt Sweat โem.
Shaun Hill, Detroit Lions: ย Hill picked apart the Eagles to the tune of 335 yards with two TDs and two INTs. He showed heโs worthwhile in two QB leagues while Stafford is on the mend.
Ruling: ย Get โem (two QB leagues), Donโt Sweat โem (Standard leagues)
RBs
Jason Snelling, Atlanta Falcons: ย Michael Turner left with a groin injury. Snelling did his Arian Foster impression with 186 total yards (129 rushing) and three TDs (two rushing, one receiving). If Turner canโt go next week, Snelling could be a monster.
Ruling: ย Get โem.
Peyton Hills, Cleveland Browns: ย Hillis was a popular add last week, but if your league slept on him, heโs a must add. He had 35 yards and a score, adding three catches for 26 yards.
Ruling: ย Get โem.
Mike Tolbet, San Diego Chargers: ย Ryan Mathews left with an ankle injury and Tolbert responded with 95 total yards (82 rushing) and two TDs. Heโs also one of the top players to grab off the wire this week.
Ruling: ย Get โem.
Donald Brown , Indianapolis Colts: ย Itโs easy to say Brownโs 16 carries for 69 yards and a score were because of the Coltsโ margin of victory, but donโt forget Brown scored the first touchdown.
Ruling: ย Get โem.

WRs
Brian Hartline, Miami Dolphins: ย Hartline had three catches for 28 yards and a score against the Vikings. He did not catch a pass last week and had just three targets.
Ruling: ย Donโt Sweat โem.
James Jones, Green Bay Packers: ย Jones caught three passes (seven targets) for 32 yards and a score. There are too many mouths to feed in front of him like Finley, Jennings, and Driver, so Jones isnโt worth having.
Ruling: ย Donโt Sweat โem.
Josh Cribbs, Cleveland Browns: ย Cribbs had three catches, including a 65 yard TD. Heโs electric, but heโs not a viable fantasy option.
Ruling: ย Donโt Sweat โem.
Nate Washington, Tennessee Titans: ย Washington scored for the second straight week. ย He had four catches for 34 yards and led the Titans with nine targets. Justin Gage and Kenny Britt both had decent numbers so it may be best to hold off on Titan WRs.
Ruling: ย Donโt Sweat โem.
Demaryius Thomas, Denver Broncos: ย Thomas had eight catches for 97 yards, including a 21 yard TD. Heโs been banged up, but has enormous potential.
Ruling: ย Get โem.
Mark Clayton, St. Louis Rams: ย Clayton was not as productive as last week when he had 10 catches for 119 yards, but he caught a pair of TDs against the Raiders. If he happens to be available you should make it a point to grab him.
Ruling: ย Get โem.
Louis Murphy, Oakland Raiders: ย Murphy had six catches for 91 yards and a score against the Rams. Consistency will likely be an issue, but heโs worth a roster spot.
Ruling: ย Get โem.
TEs
Tony Moeaki, Kansas City Chiefs: ย In the opener he had three catches for 21 yards and a score. He followed that up with five catches for 58 yards. He led the Chiefs with 10 targets. Clearly he has a rapport with Cassel. Heโs useful in deep leagues.
Ruling: ย Get โem.
Brandon Pettigrew, Detroit Lions: ย Pettigrew caught seven passes for 108 yards. He only caught one pass in the opener, but his upside makes him a decent No. 2 tight end.
Ruling: ย Get โem.
Aaron Hernandez, New England Patriots: ย Last week he had one catch for 45 yards while Rob Gronkowski had a TD. This week Hernandez had six catches for 101 yards while Gronkowski had 14 yards. Clearly Hernandez has the upper hand in this race, and is a decent backup TE.
Ruling: ย Get โem.
