The Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA will be the site of NFL betting action on Sunday, September 19th when the Atlanta Falcons play host to Derek Anderson and the Arizona Cardinals. The Falcons took last season’s meeting in Arizona 30-24 as 2-point chalk and playing to the ‘over’.

Point Spread: Oddsmakers have HC Mike Smith’s Falcons currently listed as 6.5-point favorites with the game ‘total’ set at 43; kickoff is set for 1:00 ET.

Arizona enters Week 2 after squeaking out a win in St. Louis behind QB Derek Anderson who threw for 297 yards with a TD and fumbling once while completing 22-of-41 passes. RB Tim Hightower paced the ground game with 54 yards and a score and also added four catches for 40 yards, but had butter fingers coughing up the ball twice. WR Steve Breaston had a big game hauling in seven catches for 132 yards, while WR Larry Fitzgerald added three catches for 43 yards and caught the lone TD pass. The defense was led by Adrian Wilson who had two of the teams three INT’s, while the rest of the ‘D’ had three sacks and a fumble recovery.

Atlanta stumbles into their second game after relying on their kicker Matt Bryant in a hard fought defensive battle with Pittsburgh that ended in heartbreak. QB Matt Ryan completed 61 percent of his passes, while throwing for 252 yards and an INT. WR Roddy White had a huge game hauling in 13 catches for 111 yards. Unfortunately, RB Michael Turner was pretty much a non-factor running for only 42 yards on the ground against the Steelers stout rush defense. K Matt Bryant was the source of the offense for the Falcons making three field goals. Atlanta’s ‘D’ had an INT & 3 sacks.
