2010 NFL betting action has come to the Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN on Sunday, September 19th when the Vikings will play host to the Miami Dolphins. Last time these two teams clashed was in Miami back in 2006, the Dolphins won 24-20.

Point Spread: Oddsmakers have the Vikings currently listed as 5.5-point favorites with the game ‘total’ set at 39; kickoff is set for 1:00 ET.

Miami struggled in week 1, but was able to pull out the 15-10 win and cover over the Bills as 3.5-point road chalk. QB Chad Henne completed 21-of-34 through the air while throwing for 182 yards. RB’s Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams paced the ground game and combined for 127 yards and a score. Newly acquired WR Brandon Marshall and Chad Henne hooked up eight times for 53 yards, while Davone Bess added six receptions for 51 yards. The Dolphins defense wrapped up QB Trent Edwards three times.

Minnesota and QB Brett Favre didn’t live up to expectations last week even though they faced the defending champs. #4 threw for 171 yards, with a TD/INT ratio of 1/1 while completing 15-of-27 passes. RB Adrian Peterson did his thing and paced the ground game rushing for 87 yards and hauled in three passes for 14 yards. Visanthe Shiancoe was Favre’s big target in the first half catching four balls for 76 yards including a TD reception; he was held without a catch in the second half. Percy Harvin and newly acquired Greg Camarillo each had one catch apiece.

When playing the role of underdog in the L/2 seasons, the Dolphins are 10-12 SU, but managed to cash tickets 13 of their L/22 tries ATS. In all games played the L/2 years, Miami is 19-15 SU, but managed to churn out just a 17-17 ATS record. Off a division win since 2008, the Dolphins are 5-3 SU & ATS. The Vikings have gotten the job done for their betting backers when installed the favorite, cashing an amazing 19 of the L/23 times against the closing NFL odds.
