It looks like there will be a lot of impact from the Detroit Lions rookies this season.  Some rookies that you will see a lot include Kevin Smith, Gosder Cherilus, and Jordan Dizon.

Expect for the Lions to be a lot better in the upcoming season than they have been the past several years.  They have gotten a better running back from the draft, they have improved the O-line, so you can expect Kitna to get more time to throw and make more accurate passes.

The Lions have also gotten new defensive players including Jordan Dizon and Leigh Bodden, which you can expect to make an immediate impact.

Lions Positioning:

Quarterback: Jon Kitna, Dan Orlovski, Drew Stanton

The Lions will be pretty good at the QB spot this year since their O-line has improved.  Kitna will probably get a lot more passing yards than last season considering how much more time he will have in the pocket.  Unless Kitna gets injured, don't expect to see much from Orlovski or Stanton this year. Kitna's the "for sure" starter.

Runningback: Kevin Smith, Tatum Bell

Expect to see a lot of carries from the rookie.  The coaching staff has liked how he's been playing in training camp, and he played well in the preseason opener.  But you can expect to see Bell too, he'll get quite a few carries.

Fullback: John Bradley, Casey Fitzsimmons

Don't expect to see these guys much, not even in the red zone.  Kevin Smith will be getting those carries.

Wide Receiver 1: Roy Williams, Shaun McDonald, Kenneth Moore

Expect to see Williams and Shaun McDonald getting the ball a lot this year.  Kitna has a lot better of an O-line, which means more time to find the receivers.

Wide Receiver 2: Calvin Johnson, Mike Furrey, Troy Walters

Same as the first group of wide receivers, expect to see Johnson and Furrey get the ball a lot.
