Could Chris Henry Be a Cowboy?
Terrell Owens,Ā Adam JonesĀ (formerly known as Pacman), and Tank Johnson.
This is the list of players with known character issues that Jerry Jones has taken a chance on in the past few seasons.
Jones has proven that he does not shy away from talented players because of character issues, and that philosophy has helped make theĀ CowboysĀ very successful.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap šø
Adam Jones appears to finally be tamed, Owens is getting along with his quarterback and still putting up Pro Bowl numbers, and Tank is a force in the middle.
Jerry Jones has also shown that he is willing to wait for talent; he waited eight games for Tank Johnson and could have to wait a year for Adam Jones. He would only have to wait four games forĀ Chris Henry.
The Cowboys roster is stacked and the only place that could use some tuning is the receiving corps. With Owens,Ā Jason Witten, andĀ Patrick Crayton, Dallas already has one of the best receiving units in the NFL.
The only reason it needs some tuning is that there isn't a whole lot of depth. Terry Glenn is gone, and after the top three receivers, there isn't a whole lot.
Henry is an athletic freak, which led theĀ BengalsĀ to make him third round draft pick despite his character concerns. He is 6'4" and 215 pounds, and has lights out speed. His height and athleticism would certainly draw defenders and double-teams away from Owens more than Crayton would be able to.
In a few years when Owens is ready to retire Henry would also make a better No. 1 option in the NFL than Patrick Crayton.
I wouldn't be surprised if Jones made a visit toĀ Michael VickĀ in his jail cell in the coming months with a contract in hand (to play WR, RB, or be a return specialist; Tony RomoĀ is the man in Big D). Regardless, Jones is one of the best (if not the very best) owners in football today, and you have to respect the guy for wanting to win.
