Brett Favre mania continues as Al Jones at the Southern Mississippi Sun Herald reported late Tuesday. Citing a family member as the source, Jones reports the "Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre has made no decision regarding a 20th season in the NFL".

Coach Brad Childress stated at a press conference Tuesday that he had not heard from Brett Favre about this news. This despite rumors from teammates who remain unnamed that Favre sent texts them about his plans to retire left Childress to dispel those rumors.

There is also talk about contract extension negotiations going on behind the scenes with the team owners. However, at this time, there is no verifiable source for that information.

So, once again, retiring or not, Brett Favre has achieved being the main talk of the town as the 2010 NFL season gets underway. As Favre watch heats up, watch for more daily news from this site.
