Moving Today's Market

The trade deadline has come and gone and Manny Ramirez, Jason Bay and Ken Griffey Jr. were the big names switching teams. Ramirez is reportedly going to the Dodgers, Bay to the Red Sox and Griffey accepts deal to the White Sox. All week there were discussions about Ramirez being traded and GM Theo Epstein was able to find a valuable replacement. Ramirez's new team, the Dodgers, open a four-game series tonight against the Diamondbacks. Los Angeles is trailing the D-backs by only one game in the NL West and they get another opportunity against Brandon Webb (14-4, 3.14 ERA). Webb is 9-3 with a 2.65 ERA in his career against the Dodgers. D-backs opened at -107 with Pinnacle and is currently at -105. Griffey's new team, the White Sox, look to split the 4-game series against the Twins as they send John Danks (8-4, 3.18 ERA) to the mound. He is 1-1 with a 8.78 ERA in three starts against Minnesota this season. The Twins opened at -127 at Pinnacle and has since moved to -118.
