NFL Two-A-Days: Miami Dolphins Season Preview

Ryan FryeAug 3, 2010

This is the continuation of my NFL Two-a-Days series of articles. This is directly from ESPN's Mike & Mike with the same questions, just my answers and the season preview. Yesterday I started with the Ravens and Bears. So right now, I'm previewing the Miami Dolphins. Before I start, here are the Ravens and Bears previews from yesterday:

1. Is Chad Henne the second best quarterback in the AFC East?

Tom Brady is number one, so this is a fair question. You've got Mark Sanchez and Trent Edwards starting for the Jets and Bills. Right Now, I'd say Henne is better than Mark Sanchez. If you would of put Henne on the Jets and Sanchez on the Dolphins, I think the Jets would of improved. Although, long term, I'd take Mark Sanchez in a heartbeat.

2. Will Brandon Marshall catch 100 passes for the fourth straight season?

I really don't see a reason why he wouldn't, he did it with Jay Cutler and Kyle Orton on the Broncos. The Dolphins are better than the Broncos, it's not like he is going to the Bills. Tony Sporano does like to run the ball, but it won't stop Marshall.

3. Is the addition of Karlos Dansby enough to make the Dolphins defense better?

Dansby is a tackling machine and not as much of a sack guy as Joey Porter, who they lost this offseason. Overall, Dansby does help this defense and will be the centerpiece of the defense. The 'Phins also lost Jason Taylor to the Jets, replacing him with first round pick Jared Odrick. This defense has gotten a lot younger on defense and most likely better.

4. Are the Dolphins closer to the 11-5 finish of 2008 or the 7-9 finish of '09?

This is a young and improving team. They'll be a middle of the pack team in 2010, but expect major strides in 2011.

5. Record?

8-8, third in the AFC East.

Below is a link to Mike & Mike's page on ESPN.com, you can check out their opinion on the Dolphins. Later today, I will preview the Atlanta Falcons season.
