Tim Tebow and the Broncos Depth Chart: What Does It All Mean?
What is Josh McDaniels up to now?
While the Denver Broncos' head coach has repeatedly said quarterback Kyle Orton will be the starter going into training camp, the operative phrase to key in on is, "going into training camp."
McDaniels has been anything but boring over the course of the past year, taking over the team from Mike Shanahan, dumping Jay Cutler, starting the season 6-0 before finishing 8-8, and then trading for Brady Quinn before drafting Tim Tebow.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Right now, when you look at the situation objectively, the Broncos technically have three starting quarterbacks.
Orton is the anointed starter, Quinn is a former starter and first-round draft pick, and Tebow is Tebow.
Orton has to feel anything but safe in his role as a starter, as all the moves McDaniels and the team made in the offseason are indicative of a team not comfortable with their starting quarterback's performance, and therefore have added a lot of options.
Quinn feels he can be the starter, and though he is far too professional to say it, should be screaming to the heavens how mismanaged he was in Cleveland.
Tebow has star quarterback written all over him, provided he can transform his mechanics into something consistent and workable enough for the NFL. Practices are one thing, we need to see how he looks on the field.
While there is no stated timeline, it's a good bet the Broncos will assess Orton's performance after the first four games, and if it's bad enough, either Quinn or Tebow will move up the depth chart.
While making bold predictions are fun and exciting, for the purposes of this article, we'll just stick to generalities as both Quinn and Tebow have a lot to prove in training camp before McDaniels could even think of handing the keys to the offense over to any of then.
Then again, McDaniels did advocate moving back into the first round to take Tebow, so it's really not outside the realm of possibility to see Tebow taking snaps this year.
The only thing certain at this point is Orton is under the gun to perform because them, barring injury. McDaniels already has given him a vote of "no confidence" with his quarterback acquisitions.
