Daily Market Trends: Lopsided Games Highlight Early Action
Moving Today's Market
The afternoon's solo game saw a high amount of early action, but the full MLB slate leaves a lot of options for tonight. Four games highlight the early action based on the number of bets. Three are seeing one team receive a lopsided number of bets. The Angels and 12-game winner Joe Saunders (3.05 ERA) are receiving over 80% of the 11,000+ bets against the lowly Orioles. Los Angeles, owners of baseball's best record, get to face lefty Brian Burres (7-6, 5.02). The Brewers are receiving over 75% of bets being placed on their match up with the Astros. Houston starter Wandy Rodriguez (5-3, 3.31) generally struggles on the road and has a career 7.11 ERA at Miller Park, while Milwaukee's Manny Parra (9-2, 3.68) has a 3.02 home ERA. The most lopsided action is on Arizona and Dan Haren (9-5, 2.58), as they are receiving 89% of early action against San Francisco and starter Jonathan Sanchez (8-5, 4.10). The last game drawing a lot of early action is the series opener between the Yankees and Red Sox. New York sends phenom Joba Chamberlain (2-3, 2.52) to the mound for his first start in Fenway. Boston counters with staff ace Josh Beckett (9-6, 3.97), who has won all three starts against the Yankees this season.

Key Market Moves
Colorado has received a couple of Smart Money alerts from books with positive results going against the Reds. Two All-Stars make starts in the match up with the Rockies sending Aaron Cook (12-6, 3.58 ERA) to face Edinson Volquez (12-3, 2.49). The Orioles received a Steam Move and Smart Money alert from different books with positive results, which makes sense with the disparity in number of bets.
