Steve Smith Breaks Arm Playing Flag Football, Undergoes Surgery

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith broke his arm and underwent surgery last night.
How did he break his arm?
Playing flag football, of course.
In his defense, it was during his annual football camp, and it seems to be a freak injury.
He is expected to be back on the field by the start of the regular season, though the Panthers have not issued any formal announcement or timetable for his return. It will be interesting to see if they take any sort of disciplinary action against Smith, as he suffered his injury in a non-football-related event.
