The MLB Mock Draft Database is in full swing, boasting 33 mock drafts, 4 news ones added today.  Of the 33 mock drafts, 17 have been updated in June.  WE have made the final Database update.  What you see is what you get.  We are also giving you the FINAL Munched consensus.  We will see how the consensus is tomorrow.  We munched together all Mock Drafts updated between 5/21 and 6/6, a total of 25 mock drafts.  Here are the consensus Top 9 picks.

1st Pick:  WASHINGTON NATIONALS – BRYCE HARPER

Absolutely no surprise here, 100% of the mocks project the Nationals to take Bryce Harper.  Harper is just as much a phenom as the Nationals 2009 top pick, Stephen Strasburg.  Harper left high school early to attend community college at the College of Southern Nevada and in 62 games, Harper hit .442 with 22 doubles, 29 home runs, 4 triples, and 89 RBIs.  The only downside to Harper is, as it can be expected given his young age of 17, is maturity.  That will come in time.  New reports out are the Nationals have indeed settled on Harper and plan to play him in the outfield, rather than behind the plate.  Smart move.  Plus the Nats also have a legit prospect behind the plate ion Derek Norris.

2nd Pick:  PITTSBURGH PIRATES – MANNY MACHADO

Manny Machado is now a Consensus pick here.  80% of the 25 most updated mocks now project the Pirates to select Machado.  Machado’s 2010 stats are pretty compelling, hitting .639 with 12 home runs, 27 doubles, 56 RBIs and 17 stolen bases.  P Drew Pomeranz gets 6 mock projections at 2nd overall as well.
