The Mets will be facing two of the majors best teams at home during this six-game home stand. They face the reigning World Series champions the New York Yankees, following a three-game set with the defending National League champions the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Mets starting pitching isn’t looking too strong in this series.’s spot ( ’s) comes up twice, in the first and last games of the home stand, and R.A. Dickey ( ) comes up once as well.
I putin as a probable for Wednesday because according to him, he’s fine.
Until medical tests can prove otherwise, he seems good to go.
The only sure-fires for now areand going on Saturday and Sunday.
In a six-game set against two of the league’s best, that’s pretty scary.
I’m gonna say that Takahashi pitches excellent in his two starts.
Pelfrey and Santana come up big, and the Mets go 4-2 over this six-game home stand to not only own current bragging rights over their two biggest rivals, but creep back up to the .500 mark.
This may just be the optimistic Mets fan in me, hopefully my optimism comes to fruition.
