2010 NFL Mock Draft Picks 17-32

Ryan LesterApr 20, 2010

With the NFL Draft just two days a way, here's a look at the second half of my 2010 NFL Mock Draft.

17. San Francisco 49ers: Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers
Ted Ginn, Jr. will help in the return game, lessening the need to add C.J. Spiller. They will instead add Davis to play RT.

18. Pittsburgh Steelers: Maurkice Pouncey, OL, Florida
Pouncey’s flexibility (can play G or C) comes into play. He’ll protect Big Ben. Perhaps he can keep him out of college bars, too.

19. Atlanta Falcons: Brandon Graham, DE/OLB, Michigan
The Falcons have a major need for a pass rusher. Graham fits the bill.

20. Houston Texans: Ryan Matthews, RB, Fresno State
While Spiller could be the more talented back, Matthews is a better fit.

21. Cincinnati Bengals: Taylor Mays, S, Southern Cal
Cincinnati’s defense took a major step in the right direction last year. They filled a need with Antonio Bryant. Mays will fill another one on the defensive side of the ball.

22. New England Patriots: C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson
The Patriots have little to speak of at RB. While they usually focus on the trenches, Spiller is an elite talent with even more character. He gives the offense another dimension.

23. Green Bay Packers: Charles Brown, OT, Southern Cal
Aaron Rodgers was under heavy pressure most of the season. The Pack need to address their line ASAP. Brown should pay immediate dividends.

24. Philadelphia Eagles: Mike Iupati, G, Idaho
The Eagles are in effect rolling with a rookie QB. Adding a beast like Iupati on their offensive line gives Kolb a better chance to succeed.

25. Baltimore Ravens: Jared Odrick, DT, Penn State
The Ravens could actually be better on offense than defense. Odrick helps narrow the gap while allowing the Ravens to get younger on defense.

26. Arizona Cardinals: Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Missouri
The Cardinals go with Weatherspoon to soften the blow from Karlos Dansby’s departure.

27. Dallas Cowboys: Golden Tate, Dallas Cowboys
The ‘Boys are pretty stacked at every position short of receiver. Tate helps rectify that.

28. San Diego Chargers: Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama
Cody is a man among boys in terms of size. He will help stuff the run, which will immediately make the Chargers a better run defense.

29. New York Jets: Sergio Kindle, DE/OLB, Texas
The last mock I had them adding a WR, but they addressed that with a fifth round pick for Santonio Holmes. That allows them to use their first pick on a pass rusher. They aren’t getting by the Colts or the Pats if they can’t get to Peyton or Brady.

30. Minnesota Vikings: Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State
With starting CB Cedric Griffin’s season in doubt (ACL) the position becomes the biggest need. Wilson is the best one available.

31. Indianapolis Colts: Brian Price, DT, UCLA
The Colts need to bolster their defensive front to slow down New England, San Diego, and company’s high-powered offenses.

32. New Orleans Saints: Everson Griffen, DE, Southern Cal
If the Saints want to defend their Super Bowl title, they are going to have to improve their pass rush.
