Mac Nabbed – I'm loving it.

So as I predicted, Monday was Donovan McNabb-frenzy-feeding-time. I love being so right.

Yes Yesy Yes!!!! (arms throwing in the air in a gesture of victory).

Then I felt remorse because I couldn’t think of a really funny comment to put at the end of the “Donovan McNabb was traded for..” tweet that was buzzin round the Twittersphere. I watched my twitter account with awe on Sunday night as the McNabb trade sparked literally HUNDREDS of tweets a second all commenting on what he was possibly traded for… an ipad, Randy Jacksons autograph, tickets to watch Barney on ice…you get the drift. FYI : He was actually traded for the 37th pick in this draft and a 3rd or 4th round pick next year.

My feeling is that he was pretty Awesome.

I mean imagine that you have a girlfriend and you’re not actually attracted to her anymore and she tells you that she actually fancies your bestfriend and you say “okay, because it will make you feel better, go shack up with him” Even though you know that you will be seeing them both at the cornerstore buying champagne and johnnies (condoms) over the coming weeks and it will torture your soul and twist your gut into knots that make you want to vomit or at least brutally harm someone. OK well not that extreme, but you get the picture. (I had it happen to me once…not a girlfriend obviously, a boyfriend…who was suddenly attracted to my best friend. Suffice to say I did not handle it as well as Andy Reid has).

Kudos to Reidy I say.

I would want him as my coach, possibly even an uncle. Makes the Eagles look a whole lot better in my book and lessens my feeling that Philadelphia is a terrible, hard-arsed, cynical place. A picture I have developed over hearing what the Eagles fans have been like. I mean its even a difficult word to spell. (There seem to be a lot of words like that in America). Anyway..I am now more interested in the Eagles than I have been before.
