DeAngelo Williams Misses Wednesday Practice

It's not believed to be anything serious, but Williams took the day off to rest his knee on Wednesday. We expect him back on Thursday, and he should be ready for a friendly matchup with the Atlanta Falcons, who haven't been faring well against the run lately.

If Williams were to miss the game for some reason, backup Jonathan Stewart would be a fantastic start .

Brandon Marshall Out with Bad Back

Marshall is dealing with a bad back, but it's not believed to be anything serious. He had arguably his best game of the season in last week's loss to the Steelers, and despite a tough matchup against with Washington's secondary, he should be a strong play.

We'll keep you updated on his status if he continues to miss practice.

Antonio Gates Misses Wednesday Practice

Merely getting a day of rest, Gates should be more than ready to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. While Philly hasn't been studly against tight ends, they did make it a huge part of their focus to stop Jason Witten last week, and they were successful.

However, you can't sit Gates if he's healthy, as he's a top five tight end in 2009.

Anquan Boldin Returns to Complete Practice

Boldin was a last minute inactive call against the Chicago Bears, and even though he was upset about it, that shouldn't stop him from sucking up his pride and dominating the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

Boldin is near full health and faces a very beatable matchup. He's a "go" this week.

LaDainian Tomlinson Misses Wednesday Practice

LT missed the Chargers practice on Wednesday with an apparent hip injury. Tomlinson says it isn't serious, but we'd feel better if an injury that isn't serious wasn't keeping a 30-year old running back in decline out of practices.

LT isn't an elite option this week against a solid Philadelphia defense, despite likely being able to play.

Clinton Portis Still Not Practicing

And rightfully so. Portis is still woozy from his concussion served to him by the Falcons last week and is very unlikely to take the field this Sunday.

He's probably not a safe bet to touch the practice field, quite frankly, as head coach Jim Zorn protects his only offensive weapon outside of Santana Moss and the injured Chris Cooley.

Ladell Betts makes for a decent RB2 this week against a Denver run defense that got blasted by the Steelers.

Raiders Reportedly Want to Fire Tom Cable

Something to do with "just cause" is preventing it right now, and Al Davis probably doesn't want to be that GM who quits on his coach midway through the season for the second straight year.

It was only a matter of time, really, so you can begin the potential coaches debate, as Cable's days are undoubtedly numbered in Oakland.

Muhsin Muhammad Returns to Practice

This isn't really all that newsworthy, but it does impact Dwayne Jarrett's value, who saw some increased looks last week in Muhammad's absence.

Muhammad is a low-end WR3 in most leagues but could rise a bit if Jake Delhomme ever gets it going. Don't hold your breath.
