The three worst offenses in the league are all on bye’s this week, which is a shame, isn’t it? Without the advantage of taking a flier on the team taking on the Raiders, let’s see how the defenses rank for Week Nine:
- Green Bay Packers - at Tampa Bay
- Atlanta Falcons - vs. Washington
- New Orleans Saints - vs. Carolina
- Seattle Seahawks - vs. Detroit
- New England Patriots - vs. Miami
- San Francisco 49ers - vs. Tennessee
- Indianapolis Colts - vs. Houston
- Chicago Bears - vs. Arizona
- Jacksonville Jaguars - vs. Kansas City
- Denver Broncos - vs. Pittsburgh
- Pittsburgh Steelers - at Denver
- Baltimore Ravens - at Cincinnati
- Philadelphia Eagles - vs. Dallas
- Arizona Cardinals - at Chicago
- San Diego Chargers - at New York Giants
Thoughts
- The Packers get the top spot this week taking on the poor Buccaneers offense. With the Rams, Browns, and Raiders all on byes this week, the Bucs are tied with the Redskins for the worst scoring offense in the league (96 points).
- When in doubt, go with the defense taking on the Lions, right?
- How will Houston’s offense be able to perform with Owen Daniels out of the lineup? Kevin Walter or someone else is going to have to step up, or the defense will be able to focus on Andre Johnson in the passing game, limiting his availability. Of course, Steve Slaton is going to be running with a purpose, trying to get his job back, isn’t he?
What are your thoughts? Who was left off the list? Who should be higher? Who should be lower?
