Branden Albert Arrested on Obstruction of Police Officer Charges
Former NFL offensive tackle Branden Albert was arrested Wednesday in Atlanta and charged with willful obstruction of a law officer.
According to TMZ Sports, Albert was involved in an altercation at a jewelry store after he "kept trying to access a part of the shop where customers are not allowed." When approached by the store's owner, Albert allegedly "punched a jewelry cabinet which left a very large hole."
Albert also allegedly said he would "kill" the owner before police arrived and stunned Albert with a taser. However, TMZ reported Albert pulled the taser prongs out before tackling an officer to the ground.

Pro Football Talk's Darin Gantt noted that as of Friday morning, records showed Albert remained in custody at a Fulton County jail.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Albert spent the first six years of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs before the Miami Dolphins signed him to a five-year, $47 million deal in 2014.
Albert played three seasons in South Florida and was eventually shipped to the Jacksonville Jaguars in August.
The 33-year-old then retired shortly after reporting to training camp but reversed his decision days later.
The club ultimately released Albert, who worked out for the Seattle Seahawks and New York Giants before sitting out the entire 2017 campaign, per ESPN's Field Yates and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, respectively.
