Super Bowl Commercials 2018: Ad Costs Review, Value Before Eagles vs. Patriots
Although Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots and football fans, in general, are psyched up for Super Bowl LII, companies with deep enough pockets are, too, as a myriad of them will advertise their products on the grandest stage of them all.
According to Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated, the cost of a single 30-second commercial spot in this year's Super Bowl is more than $5 million.
And rightfully so—the Super Bowl has drawn more than 111 million viewers for four consecutive seasons, according to Sports Media Watch.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Cumulatively, over 52 years, the total spending for ads at the Super Bowl is $5.4 billion (with a "b") and $419 million of that came from this Super Bowl alone, according to Ad Age.
Below, we'll touch on four different ads in particular. All of these have released their ads prior to the Super Bowl. You may be wondering why that is. After all, these commercials are supposed to be for the Super Bowl.
Well, today, if an ad is released ahead of time, the Internet makes news travel fast, and now viewers of the Super Bowl will be on the lookout for the ad.
Courtesy of Ad Age, here are four ads to look out for on Feb. 4.
E-Trade
After taking a five-year break, E-Trade is back and has a 30-second ad prepared for the game.
According to Ad Age, the spot will air in the second quarter.
Ad Age also notes that E-Trade was a big Super Bowl commercial customer from 2008-2013, but Ad Age cites "following sales declines and a rotating cast of CEOs and creative agencies, the trading company decided to end its streak."
Amazon Prime
With its first Super Bowl ad, Amazon will launch a 60-second commercial promoting their original series Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan.
As Ad Age points out, the video streaming wars are as heightened as ever, so Amazon will look to capitalize on that now with this ad coming just after the halftime show.
We all use Amazon for our shopping needs but how about streaming? Maybe this commercial will change your mind. Check out the ad here.
Doritos
Ah yes, America's favorite chip (or, well, my favorite chip at least) will be showing a linked ad, combining both the chips and Mountain Dew.
And don't think Doritos didn't come prepared with some star power—they've brought in Morgan Freeman, Peter Dinklage, Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes who will all play a role in making the commercial a success.
The ads have been circulating since January 17 and January 24, with Elliott and Rhymes' elements coming into the fold in the latter, per Ad Age.
Warning: The ad is entertaining. Watch it here.
Coca-Cola
You didn't think we'd get through talking about some ads without mentioning a Super Bowl tradition, did you?
In 12 appearances, we've seen a wide array of ads come from Coca-Cola. From old ads and their polar bears, Coca-Cola will have an ad with a message of diversity, according to Ad Age.
We will also see a Diet Coke ad, too.
The Coca-Cola ad is set to run for 60 seconds in the fourth quarter.
